vie.eco

our mission

Strong, steady funding for those who protect the living world.

Vie.eco was born from a simple conviction: the digital tools we use every day can become a steady, solid source of funding for biodiversity conservation.

the reality

The living world is declining. Resources are lacking.

Across Europe, farmland birds are growing scarce, insects are quietly disappearing and wetlands keep shrinking. In response, thousands of non-profits are working in the field, often on tiny budgets.

On the other side, the digital economy moves billions, largely funded by advertising and the exploitation of personal data. We wanted to reverse that flow: to turn our trade into a source of funding for nature.

Technology is our trade. The living world is our reason for being.

the idea

Putting technology at the service of ecology.

The idea was born in 2016, after a documentary on digital pollution. Since everyone uses a mailbox, it might as well fund the protection of the living world rather than advertising. Ecomail was born. The same principle was later extended to mobile telephony with Ecomtel.

« I was wondering how to give my trade, IT, a purpose more in line with my environmental principles. I soon set up Ecomail and its concept: donating a significant share of revenue to non-profits working in the field, for ecology. »

our values

What we hold ourselves to.

  • Through Ecomail, 15 to 30% of revenue is donated to environmental non-profits.
  • Through Ecomtel, 30% of the margin is donated to environmental non-profits.
  • We prove what we claim: proof of donations published, revenue displayed in real time.
  • Remote work, no unnecessary travel, never a plane.
  • Meals from bulk and organic food as much as possible, and the compost is looking better every year.
  • Around the office, a patch of land left wild where biodiversity is settling in.
  • We rarely print, only when it is truly necessary.
  • Our computers are over 7 years old, our phones between 2 and 5: we keep them as long as possible.

Being a mission-driven company means making it your mission to do your best. Together, we are convinced it can be done.
