That makes all the difference. A percentage of profit can shrink to almost nothing; a percentage of revenue is a real commitment. Since 2016, this principle has allowed €112,600 to be donated to non-profits.

Why revenue changes everything.
Most corporate donors give a percentage of their net profit, often between 1 and 10%. In the storytelling, it sounds generous; in absolute terms, it is often trivial.
At Vie.eco, the non-profits' share is taken from revenue, before infrastructure, energy or salaries. That forces tighter trade-offs day to day; it is also what separates advertised giving from real giving.
